We take great pride in the scientific excellence of our invited lecturers, panels, side events and authors of papers included in Special and Regular sessions at the SDEWES Conference, but there is another programmme that truly makes this Conference complete, and this is our Social programme.
From 5 - 10 October 2025, you will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the company of top experts in the field of sustainable development from all around the world and, through our social programme, exchange ideas in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful sites and history of Dubrovnik.

Welcome reception
05 October (Sunday), 18:00 – 20:00h
Registration will start at 16:00h, so stop by at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel Business Centre during the day to register and join us for welcome drink where we will formally start the Conference. Welcome reception will be held at 18:00h at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel's terrace.
08 October 2025 (Wednesday), from 14:00 – 22:00h
Prepare for having wonderful memories from the SDEWES2025 Social Event as we have a very special afternoon planned for our conference participants.
Each participant will receive a special ticket with instructions/schedule for the excursion and dinner. Detailed instructions and up-to-date timetables of departures are available below (subject to change).

Short boat ride to Lokrum island
Tour of Lokrum island (including drink) and free time

GROUP C - Scenic cruise & Old Town stroll (Bus transfer + boat cruise + tour of the town)

Cruise with a motor boat from the Dubrovnik Cruise Port to the Old Town (a glass of sparkling wine included)
Orientation tour of Old Town (without entrances)

GROUP D - Cable car and Old Town stroll (Bus transfer + cable car ride + tour of the town)

Arrival to cable car station and a short cable car ride to the top of the Srd Hill
Short tour and drinks while enyoying the breathtaking views of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area
Cable car ride back and short walk to the Old Town
